Alisa and I went on a lil snowboarding trip with our friends Rob and Meagan. I didn’t feel like taking my DSLR so brought along my newish toy, the Canon S95. I only shot with it once before so it would be a good test to see how it performs on the mountain! Rob has a place up by Mt. Baker so we decided to crash there Friday night. Right after the border, our first stop was Bob’s Burger where we feasted on MASSIVE burgers. Check out the guacamole oozing out of the toothpick hole!

Next stop we hit up a Cost Cutter to grab some groceries, beer, and wine. Alisa couldn’t help but ride the little pony…

Once we got to Rob’s place, it was freezing! The girls were cold and Rob had to start heating up the place. I think he went through about 30 matches before he got one to fire up the pilot light!

We woke up the next morning at about 6:45am to start our journey up the mountain. There was a TON of snow! The snowbanks on the side were at least 12ft high!

There was so much powder and snow up there! At least 5 times I got stuck in the powder and had to unstrap and crawl my way out. The snow was literally waist deep and there was one point where I thought I’d never get out cause every single step I took I sank… it started become wet later on in the afternoon so we called it quits by around 2:30pm. We got back to Rob’s place, had a couple beers and passed out for a good hour….

After cleaning up we decided to go for some food. We went to Blaine and hit up Paso del Norte, a Mexican place that was DELICIOUS! I would highly recommend it and I myself will be going back there for more! Also, pitchers are like $9!!!
