So the engagement shoot didn’t go as planned… but they turned out awesome anyways! We had planned to go to the PNE/Playland but due to time constraints and weather, we couldn’t.
Alisa and I had a great time shooting with these guys and I can’t wait ’till their dream wedding in Cancun =D
It’s going to be one BIG epic party…
Enjoy the photos! It was very difficult selecting these…too many good ones!
Rachelle + Jurgen (+ Brutis), so glad the weather was PERFECT last night! I had lots of fun with you guys and can’t wait till your WHISTLER wedding!
So last Tuesday, Alisa and I had the pleasure of going to Dan + Megan’s for dinner! Dan BBQ’d up some fresh salmon, and Megan made us a nice healthy Quinoa dish. For dessert, Megan stirred up a mix of cocoa, maple syrup & yogurt into this healthy chocolate dip with sliced strawberries! Oh yeah, we also had some wine and Corona’s before the shoot =)
I’ve known Dan since grade 8 where we played on the same PeeWee AAA hockey team! After that we both went to UBC, pledged with the Beta frat, and even ran a hockey training business! I only met Megan about a year ago but after that first time meeting, you could just tell that these two were a perfect match!
Anyways, so Alisa and I decided to do this shoot in Steveston/London Heritage Farm, only like a block or two away from their home! It was a little tight just trying to beat the sun from going down, but everything turned out literally just ‘perfectly.’
Can’t wait till we party on July 16th!

The sun came out to play (later in the afternoon)! And so did the wedding party! Fred and Christianne, you guys were a blast to work with and it was fun being around your vibrant wedding party.
Christianne, you looked absolutely stunning! And Fred, great idea about playing that intro on the piano =) Congrats you two! We’re glad to have been with you that day!
Oh and Daniel (D’Soleil Photography), we’ll be seeing you next weekend!

In case a lot of you were wondering what the guys had to do in the beginning, they had to lick Nutella off a diaper! They need to pass the games in order to see the bride! They bridesmaids sure made this one nasty.. but at least it tasted good!
Due to the ongoing incredible efforts of the chocolate spreading, Jeanette and Wilson were almost late for their own wedding! We got there right on time and we thankfully still had a few brief moments to setup.
It was our first time working with Melissa from Green Pomme Photography and she was a delight to work with. We tried to milk every single location on Granville Island and we had a great time! The dinner was superb and everything look liked it turned out great. Thanks for having us, and congratulations!

We met Sonia and Thierry a little over a year ago at another wedding. We were seated right beside them and once they saw the SDE we provided for Mario & Suman, they fell in love with our work! We were actually initially not available for their date, but they changed it, so it all worked out. And I’m really glad they changed it because their wedding was awesome~!
It was the first time for us filming at the Shangri-La so it was nice to be somewhere different. It was funny because the bathroom in their suite was larger than their living room. After the two got ready, we headed around town for a photoshoot with Jakob and Cole from Nordica Photography. Their stuff is awesome! Check out their blog when you get a chance! We went to this place in East Vancouver with all this graffiti and it was a spectacular location for a photoshoot. The only problem was that it smelt like a sewer… But other than that it was great!
Lloyd got lucky and he got to ride in Thierry’s beautiful M6. It was a perfect day to have the roof down!
Sonia and Thierry, you guys couldn’t have picked a better day and location for your wedding. You guys looked stunning and we wish you guys all the best! We are really jealous that your honeymooning right now in Europe!!

Beautiful weather for photographers and videographers isn’t sunny weather, it’s slightly cloudy with the sun nicely diffused.
So for us, it was picture-perfect weather for Kavita and Dallas’ wedding! It was sunny when it needed to be, and the clouds interfered at the right times.
The photoshoot with photographers Jasalyn and Jason Thorne was a blast, shooting around Cecil Green, UBC and Shaughnessy Park. The Masarati rented by Dallas was put to full-use for the pictures!
Also, a shout out is needed to the wedding planner, Lori Fraser, for organizing another beautiful wedding. It was both serene and pristinely decorative, with all shades of purple and white surrounding the guests against the beautiful backdrop at the Cecil Green Park House. At times, it felt like a calming resort at the Cecil Green with the warm weather, setting sun, ocean, and mountains in the distance.
Pizza was ordered at the very end of the night to fuel the guests for dancing (who could forget the line dance?). And although we were stuffed from the delicious dinner buffet and dessert from a few hours before, we still enjoyed a couple slices to top off another amazing RF wedding shoot!
Kavita and Dallas, thank you for bringing us along for your magical day. The RF team wishes you all the best!
